This style Bunn coffee maker is a "pour-over". A plastic pitcher is used to pour the water in the top when you want to brew coffee. This type is very convenient when there is no practical way to run a water supply to the unit or it is too expensive. It can be used in many more situations. If there is an outlet of potable water nearby, usually a sink of almost any kind, you can have very good "Bunn-made" coffee in just a few minutes.
I thoroughly cleaned it. It may have minor scuffs, dings, dents, nicks and/or scratches that always happen in heavy use or restaurant-type environment.

If you have never performed an initial set-up of a Bunn coffee maker, you need to read the guide BEFORE YOU PLUG IT IN! Page 5 is especially important. The tank heater comes on when the unit is plugged in. With no water surrounding it, the element will burn out before you can get enough water in.
